Clark Atlanta University

Program Highlights

Horizons at Clark Atlanta launched in 2013 with 15 students and will serve 135 students at full enrollment. Our program theme, "The Journey", takes each Young Scholar (student) on a six-week learning adventure of academic achievement, cultural and social enrichment, swimming, and global awareness. Students compare and contrast key land and cultural components of Africa, Europe, North America and South America, and explore real-world social issues. Access to Clark Atlanta's campus, faculty and students build a desire in our Young Scholars to continue their education. Guest presentations from Atlanta's business, civic and education influencers expose our students to various career paths. Twice-weekly study trips to museums, libraries and landmarks create a real-life connection to the concepts and skills being taught.
